June 1, 2007ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Frank Bello will perform with Whitfield Crane (ANOTHER ANIMAL, ex-UGLY KID JOE, LIFE OF AGONY, MEDICATION) at Retox, the New York City club co-owned by Ian, on Thursday, June 14.
Retox (511 West 28th Street) was opened by Ian and club owner Mike Diamond, who started Snitch, Pangaea and Vela.

ANTHRAX announced its split with vocalist Joey Belladonna in January, less than two years after the group's classic lineup reunited for a "25th anniversary" tour. A replacement singer will be announced at the end of June, according to Ian. Rumored candidates include Crane, ARMORED SAINT/ex-ANTHRAX vocalist John Bush, "American Idol" runner-up Bo Bice and STONE SOUR/SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor, according to various Internet message boards.
